The Hùng Kings Temple historical site in the northern midland province of Phú Thọ welcomed tens of thousands of visitors on March 29-30, more than a week ahead of the Hùng Kings Commemoration Day.
A massive effort by villagers in the northern Province of Phu Tho has not only rescued the ancient form of dinh (community hall) singing, but also guided the way for similar efforts to save other parts of Vietnamese culture.

Kings Temple – a bronze elephant statue gifted by King Prajadhipok (Rama
VII of Siam) in 1934 as a mark of friendship.
A palanquin procession, key in a series of cultural
and spiritual activities celebrating the Hung Kings Death Anniversary
(or Hung Kings Temple Festival), will take place in northern Phu Tho
Province today.
